Out With Friends/Acquaintances

I went out to launch a group of friends or thought they were friends. Was having a great time until mentioned the fact that I was going hunting when the season opened.
They all went gaga and asked how could I kill a living creature? I mean really. What a bunch of hypocrites. Total pile of A-Holes.
Here they were eating steak, hamburgers, fish and various other meat products. Then they have the gall to say how could I kill an animal. I was almost flabbergasted.
My simple comment back was, “So you are all true vegetarians then?” In turn they were stunned. If they can’t kill a animal to eat it then why were they eating meat in the first place.
Just because they didn’t kill it, that makes it OK?? Introverted thinking?? What do you say??
How can they sit on their high horses and preach to me about not hunting when they buy meat and eat. All I am doing is cutting out the middle men and getting my own fresh meat.
You must have an opinion on this. Do you think it is wrong to hunt?? or to kill an animal??
I don’t think I would be able to hunt. I also don’t judge others for doing it. I know its sort of a grey area for me. I don’t like the thought of animals being killed but I don’t have a problem with animals being killed for my burgers and wings. I guess I am a hypocrite too. One of the early Seinfeld episodes talked about this.
Agreed some of you don’t like the thoughts of animals being killed and like I stated they/you are entitled to your opinions.

I think if you are killing for meat and are carrying it out humanely then no problem.
If you are killing for fun, and making the last period of the animals life hell the I totally disagree with it.
Even though I dont hunt hounds anymore,
Another species I would be pigs,I have no experience hunt in thick undercover.I see nothing sporting about hunting bears with dogs. but im killing animal not for eat, just for sport and bring back memories. I felt I am a hypocrite too.
